Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. It affects 60 to 70% of cases. It is a chronic, degenerative disease that progresses through different stages (from 1 to 7). It is manifested by a decline in memory, reasoning, behaviour and the ability to carry out daily activities.

This disease also has an impact on the daily lives of the relatives of people with the disease. A carer is a non-professional person who helps a dependent person with the activities of daily living. This role can be difficult for the carer and can lead to physical, social and financial exhaustion. In addition, carers need education about dementia and support, which could help reduce anxiety and the burden. This is why technology could be a good support for this population.

The main features of the mobile application to help relatives are :

  • an information page containing information about the disease and its symptoms
  • a symptoms page for recording Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). It allows you to generate a report and advice for each symptom
  • a calendar to visualise the evolution of symptoms and interventions
