Welcome to the website of the Digital Health and Care Competence Center of the Haute Ecole de Santé Fribourg (HEdS-FR) and the HumanTech Institute of the Haute Ecole d’Ingénierie et Architecture Fribourg (HEIA-FR). This collaboration allows the emergence of innovative solutions to health and healthcare problems, applicable in the daily practice of both health professionals and users and which integrate technology and health care skills. The Universities of Applied Sciences aim to train professionals with solid disciplinary and interdisciplinary skills. With the DHC3, we want to strengthen this interdisciplinary foundation in order to create teams capable of meeting the challenges of tomorrow’s society. By putting end-users at the center of an interdisciplinary process of design and development of new technologies, we aim at concrete solutions to meet the needs of the field in terms of quality of life and work.
Innovation in education
In the field of healthcare, augmented reality, virtual reality, and online learning reinforce and complement face-to-face teaching. The goal of DHC3 is to develop sustainable strategies and devices to enhance technology-based teaching and learning in healthcare education. In collaboration with the HumanTech Institute, of the Haute Ecole d’Ingénierie et Architecture Fribourg, the Haute Ecole de Santé Fribourg (HEdS-FR) adopt and develop advanced technologies adapted to education.

Innovation in Clinical Practice
The DHC3 wishes to contribute to the implementation of solutions adapted to people’s needs and capable of being efficiently integrated into health care practices. Our goal is to co-create and make our skills and technologies available to partners in the field and companies active in this domain, in order to increase the quality of care and the care of end users.
