In the area of pedagogical innovation, the DHC3 designs, develops and evaluates new tools (e.g., virtual and augmented reality applications, etc.) that improve the quality of learning for students in practical training in the health care field, as well as the diversity of teaching methods.
On the other hand, new technologies are designed, developed and evaluated in the field of health and health care, in order to improve the quality of patient care (e.g., mobile apps, chatbots, etc.), and the satisfaction and well-being of all its users. Undeniably, these technologies aim to improve not only the quality of life of patients but also the quality of work of health care professionals. In this context, DHC3 co-designs and develops new applications directly with end-users, in order to make them immersive, intuitive and efficient. To meet these needs, DHC3 explores new interaction techniques (e.g., hands-free gesture interaction in virtual reality, interaction with conversational agents) and motivation techniques (e.g., gamification, exergames).
